Job summary

Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for a group of 8–13 students.

The role evolves from nine consecutive days on duty to three off, then into a placed homecampus assignment. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, wellness checks, and facilitating devotions and Sunday Chapel.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially supporting various student homes with a nine-on / three-off schedule, later transitioning to a placed houseparent role.
