Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of about 8–13 students, helping them develop academically, emotionally, and socially.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, and may transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially supporting various student homes and later transitioning to a placed houseparent role.
