Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking full-time Flex Houseparents to live with a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. This two-person, married-couple role requires commitment to student development and daily supervision, including guiding routines and activities.

Couples will begin in various homes on a nine-on/three-off rotation, with eventual placement in a permanent student home. Salary is $46,917 per person, plus housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship of students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
