Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is hiring a Mechanic/Vehicle Technician in Mason City, IA to diagnose and repair gasoline engines, powertrain components, hydraulic brakes, steering, and diesel emission systems.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start, with $20.00-$33.00 per hour based on experience, plus $2.00 shift differential. OT is paid at time and a half after 40 hours; part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred.
• Must have own tools or ability to obtain own tools to complete all job functions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gasoline engines and other powertrain components.
• Repair hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and diesel emission systems.
• Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment.
• Follow reasonable instructions from shift leader and work independently or with a team.
• Maintain an effective and clean work environment.
