Full-Time Firefighter / Paramedic Position: The Town of Hubbardston Fire Department is seeking applicants for a Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic position. We are a combination FT/Paid on-call department.

Work Schedule: Full-time staff cover 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, with a 45-hour (average) work week consisting of three 15-hour shifts on a rotating basis. Every other weekend has 4 days off, with no Sundays. This is a fully benefited position as outlined in the IAFF Local 4957 collective bargaining agreement, which can be viewed on the town website hubbardstonma.us (new contract to start in July 2025).

Qualifications:

• Firefighter I/II Certification required. Consideration given to those with EMS experience looking to be trained in the fire service.
• Massachusetts certified EMT-Paramedic or enrolled in a paramedic program.
• Tuition assistance towards a Paramedic program available for the right candidate (conditions apply).
• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

Additional Requirements:

• Pass CORI and background checks.
• Pass firefighter physical and drug testing.
