Job summary

The Pewaukee Fire Department is recruiting for a full-time benefited Firefighter/EMT. The Fire Academy start date is to be determined and will be shared with candidates as details are finalized.

For candidates selected to continue, the hiring process includes two written assessments at Pewaukee City Hall (week of November 2), panel and Fire Commission interviews (week of November 9), and conditional job offers (week of November 16).

Qualifications

• Must hold State of Wisconsin EMT and Firefighter certifications.
• Parademic license preferred; sponsor through Paramedic school after one year and must pass the course to continue.
• CPAT certificate required or must pass CPAT within 3 months of hire.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Out-of-state candidates must obtain Wisconsin reciprocity within 24 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire and EMS calls and perform firefighting and EMT duties.
• Assist in completing required certifications and training (Driver/Operator) within timelines.
• Participate in the hiring process milestones: written assessments, interviews, and offers.
