They willbe responsible forassessing studentperformance in coordination with other members oftheMathematicsdepartment to evaluate effectiveness of teachingand student learning andwill havedemonstratedsuccessful outcomeswith a variety of student populations. Primary responsibilitiesinclude College service and teaching transfer-level Mathematicscourses, such as College Algebra, Contemporary College Mathematics,and College Statistics. Course assignments will depend ondepartmental needs each semester. Teachingload is 15 credit hoursper semester.

Qualifications

A minimum of aMaster's degree, M.A. orM.S., in Mathematics is required. Preferred candidates will haveexperience teaching mathematics at the college level, possessexcellent communication skills, and a strong desire to nurturestudents through the transition from high school to college.Preferred candidates will embrace the use of technology in teachingand will maintain the highest possible standards in classroominstruction, management, and assessment.
