Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Toledo, OH seeks a Maintenance Tech to support maintenance, transportation and groundskeeping across the campus. Duties include repairs in electrical, plumbing and carpentry, painting, and assisting with moving residents’ furnishings, with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license required.
• Experience in general maintenance including electrical, plumbing and carpentry; HVAC, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for residents, families, visitors and partners.
• Performs general maintenance tasks, including repairs in electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Assists with moving residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents’ living quarters as needed.
• Assists with ongoing preventative maintenance for equipment and systems.
• Assists with groundskeeping, snow-removal and related tasks.
• Maintains documentation of safety and fire-related plans, tests and logs.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
