Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support all phases of maintenance and grounds keeping across the community. Responsibilities include painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and moving furniture, with on-call emergency rotation.

This is a full-time role, primarily Monday–Friday. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and experience across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license required.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and visitors.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Assist with moving residents’ furnishings as needed.
• Paint resident living quarters as required.
• Support preventative maintenance and equipment testing logs.
• Assist with grounds keeping and snow removal.
• Maintain maintenance records including safety plans and fire safety reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
