Job summary

Urgent Dental Center & Family Dentistry is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join a team focused on same-day, comprehensive dental care in Fort Wayne, IN. EFDAs will work closely with doctors performing advanced procedures and serve as essential clinical partners in delivering efficient care.

Candidates should have EFDA experience and comfort with restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures.

Qualifications

• EFDA experience required.
• Knowledge of restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures preferred.
• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume dental setting.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Place permanent restorations using EFDA certification.

You'll work alongside doctors performing:

Full-mouth rehabilitation

Crown and bridge procedures

Surgical and simple extractions

Root canal therapy

Large restorative cases

What You'll Do

Place permanent restorations utilizing your EFDA certification

Fabricate and adjust temporary restorations

Coronal polish and apply fluoride treatments

Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans

Assist during surgical, restorative, and endodontic procedures

Prepare treatment rooms and instruments

Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards

Educate patients on treatment and post-operative instructions

Document procedures accurately in the clinical chart

Help maintain an efficient patient flow from start to finish

Support same-day treatment conversions and comprehensive care
