Job summary

Urgent Dental Center & Family Dentistry (UDC) in Indianapolis is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support doctors in restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures. You will place and finish restorations, prep treatment rooms, take radiographs, and help ensure smooth same-day care.

Responsibilities

• Perform expanded dental assisting functions within the scope of Indiana state regulations.
• Assist doctors with restorative, surgical, endodontic, and other dental procedures.
• Place and finish restorations, including fillings, as permitted by state credentials.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Take dental radiographs and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Support same-day treatment by helping maintain efficient patient flow and clinical schedules.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on post-operative instructions and treatment recommendations.
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and sterilization protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, dental assistants, and front office team members.
• Help ensure patients receive an exceptional experience from start to finish.
