Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking an Executive Chef for a premier Singer Island resort in Florida, responsible for leading culinary operations, menu development, and food quality to wow guests with every bite.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of culinary excellence, and the ability to manage costs and mentor a diverse team in an upscale dining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years cooking experience.
• College degree or certification in culinary or hospitality preferred.
• Previous management experience in kitchen of 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving financial goals for the kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Direct and supervise culinary staff to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Oversee menu development, sourcing, and food cost management.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in all kitchen areas.
• Schedule and train staff; ensure cross-training and coverage during peak times.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service.

As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing our culinary operations, menu development, food quality, and ensuring our guests are wowed by every bite. • Constantly. Direct and correct the presentation and portioning of food according to Davidson standards.

• Frequently. Direct staff in sanitation and sanitary food handling.
• Frequently. Meet with sales people to evaluate new products.

• Frequently. Prepare and train staff in use of working menus, recipe cards and photo standards.
• Frequently. Schedule staff according to business levels.
• Occasionally. Attend all required meetings.
• Occasionally. Conduct performance appraisals.
• Occasionally. Take monthly inventory of all supplies.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English.
• Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them.
• Minimum 5 years cooking experience.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Previous management experience in kitchen of 4 years.
• College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred.
