Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our safety‑mocused team in Sandston, VA. The operator will run power shovel equipment, assist with excavation to specified grades, and perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of excavator experience, working knowledge of OSHA regulations, and may have DOT experience; on‑site, full‑time work with on‑call hours during delays or emergencies.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of excavator operating experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Grades to line and grade.
• May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Can operate on track or rubber tired and also included under this title will be gradall or wrist-o-twist type equipment.
• May complete minor repairs.
• Routine cleaning of equipment.
