Job summary

The Academy of Charter Schools is seeking a dependable full-time Custodian in Westminster, Colorado. This year-round role maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment for students, staff and the school community, with an afternoon shift and Monday–Friday workdays.

Requires a high school diploma and ability to lift up to 100 pounds; background check and pre-hire exam may be required. Experience in cleaning, chemical handling, and customer service is preferred; training is provided to operate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Criminal background check required for hire; pre-hire physical may be required.
• Ability to pass a physical and lift up to 100 pounds; basic custodial equipment operation may be required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including trash removal and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeteria, gym, library and other areas.
• Assist with building operations for events and ensure access control and setup/cleanup.
• Support staff, students and visitors; respond to requests and direct to appropriate areas.
• Conduct safety and operational checks; respond to alarms and report findings to supervisor.
• Communicate issues to supervisor; document concerns as needed.
• Perform exterior cleaning tasks and seasonal cleaning as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
