Job summary

United Protective Services, Inc. seeks a Full-Time Evening Rover Security Officer to patrol and protect client sites in the Downtown Houston area. The role requires attentive observation, quick decision-making, and strong customer service.

You'll work 2nd shift with weekends, report to the Account Manager, and receive training and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation. This position emphasizes reliable, professional interaction with clients and visitors, and adherence to

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to open shift coverage dispatched by management.
• Engage in conflict resolution on site.
• Train new personnel on proper procedures and policies.
• Maintain daily activity logs.
• Create incident reports for unique incidents on site.
• Observe and report all suspicious activity.
• Ensure all equipment is well maintained and accounted for.
• Engage with clients, customers and vendors.

Job Skills / Requirements

United Protective Services is looking for a full time Day Security Professional in the Downtown Area.

The candidate will provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of all activity that takes place in the assigned area. Security Officers must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service.

• Sat - 3PM-11PM
• Mon -3PM-11PM
• Tues - 3PM-11PM
• Wed - 7AM-3PM
• Thurs. - OFF
• Fri - OFF

Job Duties

• Immediate response to open shift coverage when dispatched by the management team.
• Knowledge of all local vertical markets to include:
• Engage in conflict resolution on site
• Assists client with duties as assigned.
• Aids in maintaining an orderly workplace.
• Trains new personnel on the proper procedures and policies under direction of management.
• Makes decisions regarding the safety & security of the site with the aid of United Protective Services post orders.
• Maintains daily activity logs in accordance to post orders.
• Creates incident reports for unique incidents on site.
• Observes and reports all suspicious activity in accordance with post orders.
• Ensures all United Protective Services equipment is well maintained and accounted for before, during and after each shift.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outside in the elements.
• Additional job duties may be assigned as necessary.
• Superior customer service skills are required!
• Must be able to engage in conversation with clients, customers and vendors.
