• Check emergency exits during patrols to ensure accessibility and no obstructions.
• Identify safety hazards like spills or damaged flooring and report immediately.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout all assigned interior areas, including common areas, hallways, entrances, exits, food court areas, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, escalators, and other designated locations.
• Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence to help deter theft, disorderly conduct, vandalism, trespassing, and other prohibited activity.
• Observe customers, visitors, vendors, and employees for suspicious behavior or violations of shopping center policies.
• Monitor entrances and exits and remain alert for individuals attempting to enter restricted or unauthorized areas.
• Check emergency exits during patrols to ensure they are accessible and not improperly blocked or propped open.
• Watch for safety hazards such as spills, damaged flooring, broken glass, exposed wiring, blocked walkways, malfunctioning escalators/elevators, or other unsafe conditions.
• Immediately report hazards and take reasonable steps to protect the area until maintenance or management responds.
