Job summary

Canteen, part of Compass Group, is hiring a Cook Supervisor for a full-time evening shift at AISIN, 4112 Old Oxford Road, Durham, NC 27712. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 11:59 pm. We require prior customer service and cooking experience.

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. The role directly supervises food-service associates, trains staff, and ensures compliance with recipes, portion control, and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and cooking experience required.
• Ability to work full-time schedule, including evenings.

Responsibilities

• Train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advise management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
