Twin Enviro Services near Steamboat Springs, CO is seeking an Equipment Operator to handle heavy machinery in a landfill setting. The role supports construction and operational tasks, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and equipment care.

No prior experience is strictly required as Twin offers training to acquire the necessary landfill operation skills. The position is full-time, outdoor, with a varied schedule including Saturdays during warmer seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two plus years of experience operating heavy equipment (preferred).
• CDL may be required.
• Winter operations with snow plowing experience in Grader preferable.
• Proficient in operating heavy equipment with precision.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, cranes, forklifts, or other machinery as needed.
• Follow work orders and project blueprints to meet specifications.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections.
• Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the maintenance team.
• Ensure proper cleaning, fueling, and upkeep of machinery.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations set by the company and OSHA.
• Participate in safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide assistance with other duties on-site when not operating equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine operation hours, inspections, and maintenance activities.
