Qualifications

• Possess an Associate's Degree, OR possess a high school diploma/GED equivalent AND have honorably served with the United States Armed Forces.
• Must reside within 15 miles of Foxborough, MA, within one year after appointment.
• Be a U.S. Citizen (Birth or naturalization).
• Possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
• Have the ability to obtain an unrestricted Massachusetts Class A License to Carry a Firearm (LTC-A).
• Not be a convicted felon or have convictions from another jurisdiction that would be treated as a felony in the Commonwealth.
• Not smoke and stay a non-smoker.
• Must have the ability to complete the full-time MPTC Police Academy.
• Preference may be given to candidates with ties to Foxborough or specialized training, certifications, higher education, or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in specialized assignments and regional task forces.
• Promote and support the department’s Youth Police Academy and related programs.
