Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in New York to join our humanitarian healthcare team. You will obtain medical histories, take vital signs, assist with appointments and coordinate detainee care entering facilities.

The role requires BLS, EMT certification, and at least 1 year of recent experience; NREMT is preferred. Local candidates only; tier 4 clearance is required to start. 48-hour work week with day, night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Certification as an EMT.
• NREMT preferred.
• Must have at least one year of experience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical histories and completes paperwork for detainees entering facilities, including vital signs.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick calls, recording detainee medical complaints.
• Documents detainee contacts with signatures and name stamps.
• Ensures provider orders are implemented and coordinates care with staff.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers and performs record keeping per policy.
