Job summary
MMT Ambulance is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Valdosta, GA. Join a team providing interfacility ambulance transport with competitive pay, flexible schedules, and comprehensive benefits.
As an EMT, you will perform Basic Life Support, operate EMS vehicles per regulations, and deliver patient-centered care across transport and clinical settings. A state EMT certification and a valid driver's license are required.
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
Responsibilities
- Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) within EMT scope of practice
- Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles per regulations
- Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in various transport settings
- Apply EMS protocols and procedures effectively
- Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel
- Document patient care in electronic charting system
- Assist EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports
- Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness; restock supplies
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety
