MMT Ambulance is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Valdosta, GA. Join a team providing interfacility ambulance transport with competitive pay, flexible schedules, and comprehensive benefits.

As an EMT, you will perform Basic Life Support, operate EMS vehicles per regulations, and deliver patient-centered care across transport and clinical settings. A state EMT certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice
• Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations
• Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of transport and clinical settings
• Apply EMS protocols and procedures effectively in practical situations
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel
• Document patient care accurately in our electronic charting system
• Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports
• Maintain equipment, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and restock supplies
• Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety

Required qualifications

Physical demands

• Safely operate EMS vehicles and essential medical equipment
• Ability to bend, sit, kneel and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull over 50 lbs
• Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
• Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
• Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
