Job summary

MMT Ambulance in Valdosta, GA is seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our interfacility transport team. You will provide basic life support, operate ambulances safely, and deliver compassionate patient care across diverse settings.

Candidates must hold EMT certification, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice
• Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations
• Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of transport and clinical settings
• Apply EMS protocols and procedures effectively in practical situations
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel
• Document patient care accurately in our electronic charting system
• Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports
• Maintain equipment, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and restock supplies
• Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety

Key responsibilities:

• Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice
• Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations

Physical demands:

• Safely operate EMS vehicles and essential medical equipment
• Ability to bend, sit, kneel and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull over 50 lbs

• Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
• Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
