Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B)

Location: Bronx, NY

Starting pay is $18.99 per hour and up, based on years of experience!

Referral Bonus - employees will receive $5k for referring a FT Paramedic or $2.5k for a PT Paramedic (terms and conditions apply*)

We are hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

1. EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
2. Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
3. Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
4. Use appropriate skills to provide care, including communication, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
5. Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicles.
6. Collaborate professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
3. State Driver’s License.
4. State EMT certification.
5. CPR/BLS certification.
6. Driving record in compliance with company policy.
7. Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
8. Some work experience, preferably in healthcare, is preferred.
