Job summary

Vocational Development Center Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in our supported employment and day hab programs. The role involves promoting community integration, teaching life skills, and assisting with job readiness across multiple sites.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week), primarily day hours (7:30 am–3:30 pm) with occasional evenings/weekends. Wage starts at $18.75 per hour with a $1,000 hiring bonus after 6 months of continued employment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related experience.
• Ability to pass background checks and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Promote community integration and socialization opportunities for consumers.
• Support individuals to build life skills and independence.
• Assist with job-seeking skills including applications and interviews.
• Provide on-the-job training and balance caseloads across multiple sites.
