Job summary

First Academy, housed within First Baptist Rogers in Rogers, AR, seeks qualified teachers for PK-8 and is accepting applications for K-4 for the 2027-2028 year. Full-time teachers receive paid leave, free tuition, disability, health and life insurance, and retirement.

Required: Bachelor's degree or higher and current teaching certification. Two years of teaching experience preferred; Christian school experience is a plus. Active church membership at First Baptist Rogers is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Displays to students genuine love for God, Scripture, and learning.
• Prays privately for each student in the class.
• Plans teaching schedule daily, weekly, trimester and yearly.
• Uses formal and informal assessments to measure progress.
• Individualizes instruction to meet each child's needs while maintaining high standards.
• Respects confidentiality of students, families, and colleagues.
• Completes administrative tasks to maintain classroom operations.
• Maintains regular communication with parents about curriculum and progress.
• Contributes to a cooperative atmosphere among teachers and staff.
• Respects and upholds school policies and standards.
• Follows Matthew 18:15-17 model for handling conflicts.
• Maintains licensure.
