Job summary

Second Baptist School is seeking full-time Early Childhood Program teachers for its ECP. The role involves caring for young children in a loving, Christian environment and delivering age-appropriate curriculum while maintaining safety and daily classroom routines.

Ideal candidates will have childcare experience, a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and a heart for serving families in the church community.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for young children.
• Strong Christian testimony and ability to work in a Christian environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR certification preferred for safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of all students at all times.
• Follow state licensing minimum standards and SBS policies.
• Lead children in daily activities, including curricular lessons, centers, circle time, art projects, recess, snack time and lunch.
• Create weekly lesson plans incorporating age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Change diapers or assist students in potty training if needed.
• Complete bi-annual assessments of children's development.
• Maintain an orderly and clean classroom.
• Post activities and photos in Brightwheel each day.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Complete required annual training hours.
