Qualifications

• Understanding of child development and preschool methods.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Ability to act as a mediator between children.
• Cool, friendly, and reliable demeanor.
• Creativity in lesson planning and activities.
• Background checks cleared (DSS, SLED, FBI).
• ECD 101 completed or committed to completing within 6 months (paid by the company).

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, play, media) to teach children.
• Observe each child and help improve social skills and self-esteem.
• Encourage positive interactions among children.
• Guide children in curriculum activities (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts).
• Organize classroom schedule and supervise safety at all times.
• Collaborate with coworkers.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom per health standards.
• Follow the curriculum and lessons provided by the company.
• Adhere to DSS, DHEC, and Aspire policy guidelines.
