Job summary

Lund’s Early Childhood Program seeks a passionate educator at the Teacher Assistant level who understands nurturing young minds through play and exploration. This full-time, in-person role at our South Burlington center offers a play-based curriculum designed to foster growth in a fun, supportive environment.

The role supports developmentally appropriate activities, ensures safety, and engages with families. Minimum age 18+, HS diploma or GED, and Vermont credentials are required.

• Trauma-informed care is applied to daily interactions with children.
• Commitment to safety and ongoing supervision of all children.
• Ability to design and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Capacity to organize classroom space and materials.
• Commitment to health and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide unbiased, trauma-informed care of children according to developmental needs
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and continuous supervision of children at all times
• Assist the creation and implementation of creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
• Arrange classroom space and educational materials as developmentally appropriate
• Create and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children

Current CDA (Child Development Associate) with 12 months of experience

Three college credits in child or human development or school age care (12 months experience)
