Job summary

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an E-Commerce Team Member to support online retail operations and help advance the organization's mission. You will sort, evaluate, photograph, write descriptions, and list donated items for sale on the shopgoodwill platform, ensuring accurate presentation and proactive customer communication.

The full-time role is based in Bridgeport, CT. Prior ecommerce or jewelry knowledge is beneficial; you must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in ecommerce preferred.
• Knowledge of jewelry and collectibles.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift over 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, evaluating, and identifying the value of donated items to be sold on the E-Commerce website (shopgoodwill.com).
• Researching specialty items to write creative descriptions to maximize exposure and value online.
• Photographing each item with a digital camera for accurate online presentation.
• Communicating with customers via email and phone to address questions or issues.
• Performing testing for jewelry identified with possible value or precious metals.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Preparing items for shipping.
