Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals in our Residential Services program in Sigourney, IA.

The role focuses on daily living skills, emotional well-being, and community participation, with a 38–40 hour workweek and a 6am-2pm schedule including every other weekend. You will help with activities like shopping, hygiene, meals, mobility, and transportation to appointments while documenting progress on PCSPs and coordinating with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
