PALS CHRYSALIS HEALTH CO. is hiring a Driver for our non-medical transportation program. You will pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities or other locations and transport them safely to program activities, ensuring safety throughout the trip.

The role requires a valid Ohio driver license, a DOT physical, and at least six months of commercial driving experience. You will perform vehicle checks and complete required documentation as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT physical.
• Must have valid Ohio Driver License with less than 6 points.
• Must have at least six months of driving a commercial vehicle.
• Must pass criminal background screens and drug test.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities or other agreed location using a company vehicle.
• Transport clients to and from program locations while ensuring safety at all times.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain scheduling of maintenance on the van.
• Complete documentation including vehicle safety checks and billing sheets.
• Attend weekly technician meetings for additional training.

The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order.ScheduleA SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.Monday - Friday - Paid Time Off for holidays & Discounted Health Benefits availablePOSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company VehicleSafely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicleInsure all safety equipment is in good working orderResponsible for client supervision/supportResponsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.Attend weekly technician meeting for additional trainingInteract appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.Must successfully pass the DOT physical.Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of.
