Job summary

South Central Illinois Mass Transit District in Illinois seeks a full-time Driver to provide safe, reliable public transportation for our communities. You will be the face of the organization while ensuring riders reach their destinations on time and in a courteous manner.

Job description

South Central Illinois Mass Transit District is actively seeking a responsible and motivated full-time Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation to the communities we serve. Are you driven to succeed? If yes, read on about this driving opportunity!

This full-time public transportation position earns a competitive starting wage of $17 an hour (for non CDL) and $17.50 an hour (for CDL with passenger endorsement) plus a $0.50 increase after 90 days. We provide great benefits including paid vacation, holiday, sick, and personal time as well as 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, and IMRF retirement.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DRIVER

In this full-time driving position, you are the face of our company. As you interact with the public, you maintain a cheerful and friendly demeanor. You adhere to traffic laws as you drive your route to pick up and drop of our community members. As needed, you sanitize and clean vehicles to ensure clients have a pleasant experience riding with us. Your customer service skills and ability to safely get people where they need to go is why the public enjoys riding with us and looks forward to future rides!

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
