Job summary

The Bridge Family Center is seeking a dedicated Full Time Driver in Cromwell, CT. The role involves providing reliable transportation for children and families to scheduled visits, while maintaining safety and clear communication with leadership.

Candidates should hold a valid CT Driver’s License, be at least 21, and preferably bilingual in Spanish/English. Prior experience with children and families is valued; CPR/First Aid and related trainings are expected after hire.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CT Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• At least 21 years old.
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with children and families preferred.
• Certifications such as CPR & First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Visit Coaching Model Training, and additional DCF trainings as determined by the program.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for children and/or families to scheduled visits.
• Maintain communication with the Program Director and scheduler.
• Report safety concerns immediately.
• Complete monthly vehicle maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and arrange replacement vehicle as needed.
• Interact cordially with passengers and address difficult situations with the Program Director and Family Life Coach.
• Flexibility to meet schedule changes as needed.

The Bridge Family Center is looking for full time Drivers for its new Quality Parenting Center in Cromwell, CT. The Driver is responsible for providing reliable and safe transportation for children and/or families to and from scheduled visits.

The Bridge Family Center offers competitive pay and great benefits for part time employees, including:

Multiple Schedules are available:

Position 1: Tuesday - Friday 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Position 2: Monday - Friday 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide transportation for children and/or families to scheduled visits at the QPC during both day and evening hours.

• Maintain consistent communication with the Program Director and scheduler.
• Report any safety concerns immediately.
• Complete and submit monthly vehicle maintenance documentation
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance as needed and arrange for replacement vehicle (as needed).
• Cordially interact with passengers. Address difficult situations in the moment and report them to the Program Director and Family Life Coach.
• Additional duties as assigned. Flexibility required to meet schedule changes, as needed.
