Job summary

Silver Lake Regional School District is seeking a full-time paraprofessional to support students in the Developmental Learning Center (DLC). The DLC serves students with intellectual disabilities and the paraprofessional will provide academic support, modify work for general education classes, monitor progress, communicate with teachers, and assist with transitions and toileting.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional role in the Developmental Learning Center (DLC).
• Assisting with modifications for general education classes.
• Monitoring student progress and communication with classroom teachers.
• Assisting with transitions and toileting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students in the DLC class.
• Modify work for students in general education classes.
• Monitor students' progress and communicate with classroom teachers.
• Assist with transitions and toileting as directed by staff.
• Other duties may be assigned by the Special Education Coordinator and/or building Principal.
