Job summary

Silver Lake Regional School District is seeking a full-time paraprofessional to support students in the Developmental Learning Center (DLC). The DLC serves students with intellectual disabilities and the paraprofessional will provide academic support, modify work for general education classes, monitor progress, communicate with teachers, and assist with transitions and toileting.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional role in the Developmental Learning Center (DLC).
• Assisting with modifications for general education classes.
• Monitoring student progress and communication with classroom teachers.
• Assisting with transitions and toileting as needed.

Job description

SLRMS is seeking a full time paraprofessional to support students in the Developmental Learning Center (DLC).

The DLC is a substantially separate program that serves students with intellectual disabilities.

Primary roles and responsibilities will include:

• providing academic support to students in the DLC class
• modifying work for students in general education classes
• monitoring students progress
• communicating with classroom teachers
• assisting with transitions and toileting

Other duties may be assigned by the Special Education Coordinator and/or building Principal.

Hourly rate is between $18.28 - $22.38 depending on experience.

As a full time employee, this is a benefits eligible position through Silver Lake including paid sick and personal days.
