Job summary

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health in Brooklyn, MD seeks a Dispensing Nurse to monitor patient needs and manage medications in the OTP clinic. You will collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Medical Director, and Clinical Supervisor to ensure quality medical care and complete medical records.

The role requires a Maryland LPN license, 1 year MAT experience, CPR within 3 months, and ability to submit a prior screening. Full-time schedule with early shift hours and rotating Saturdays are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed in Maryland as an LPN (Maryland licensure).
• 1 year experience in medication assisted treatment.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Will be required to submit to PPD screening or provide record of screening from previous employer within the past year.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties within regularly scheduled hours.
• Greet each patient to confirm identity and proper medication using two patient identifiers.
• Ensure medical services comply with Federal, State, CARF, and COMAR regulations/standards.
• Dispense medications according to protocol.
• Process medical orders.
• Perform physical examinations and medical evaluations as required.
• Maintain accurate records and file documentation within 24 hours of event.
• Collect specimens and submit/process appropriately.
• Interact with outside agencies for referrals and dosage verification.
• Deliver medication as needed.
• Assist Charge Nurse in daily program operation.

We are currently in search of an experiencedDispensing Nurse for our Brooklyn, MD location. The Dispensing Nurse at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all its subsidiaries (“Kolmac” or the “Company”) isresponsible for the daily monitoring of patient’s needs and care of all patients reporting to the OTP clinic. This person works with the Nurse Manager, Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor to ensure appropriate medical care for patients. This individual is also responsible for the completeness of all medical aspects of the medical record. The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for dispensing any medications the clinic may utilize in the treatment of patients.

Schedule

Full time | Hours between 4:30a-2p; rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties within regularly scheduled hours

• Responsible for medical services to be in compliance with Federal, State, CARF, and COMAR regulations/standards

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $28 an hour to $33 an hour. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
