Job summary

The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for our dispatch center. We are currently looking to fill 1 (one) Full-Time Communications Officer (Dispatcher) position by the end of July. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

Job description

The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for our dispatch center. We are currently looking to fill 1 (one) Full-Time Communications Officer (Dispatcher) position by the end of July. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

Applicants should be people-friendly and able to multitaskunder stressful and rapidly evolving situations. Successful candidates will work varied shifts and possibly on a rotating schedule. Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Montana Driver’s License

Possession of a current Montana Public Safety Communications Officer certification is preferred but not necessary to apply. If not certified, the applicant will be required to successfully complete the MLEA Public Safety Communications Officer Basic course within one-year of hire.

Full time benefits include

Insurance benefits are not offered with Part Time positions.

The starting wage is $17.33/hour. Pay will increase to $18.33/hour upon completion of 6 months of service and successful completion of the probationary period. These figures are as of July 2026.
