Job summary

Bon Appetit in New York, NY is hiring a full-time dishwasher at the D. E. Shaw Cafe, 375 9th Avenue, 52nd Floor. Shift is Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-the-job training available for those without prior dishwashing experience.

You will maintain dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas in a clean, sanitary condition; comply with safety standards; support loading and unloading supplies; and participate in a team that serves corporate, university, and museum clients.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing experience is preferred.
• Willing to train!

Responsibilities

• Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwashing machine as assigned.
• Polishes silver using appropriate methods and ensures cleanliness.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and other prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and disposes of it properly.
