Job summary

Bancroft is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our Adult Residential program in Cherry Hill, NJ. This full-time role requires providing compassionate, person-centered supports to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.

You will implement behavioral plans, assist with daily living activities, accompany residents to appointments and community activities, and maintain thorough documentation while upholding Bancroft's safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License in candidate's legal name and current address; one year minimum driving experience.
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in psychology, social work, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Our Direct Support Professionals carry out behavioral treatment plans and are responsible for collecting direct observational data.
• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, teaching daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve goals.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings and provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations and apply crisis techniques per Bancroft standards.
• Complete paperwork and documentation, maintaining communication with residents and families.
