Job summary

The Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A) in their homes and communities. This is a role in our In-Home & Community Supports (HCS) department.

DSPs play an important role in helping individuals build greater independence and enjoy more meaningful lives, while forming positive, supportive relationships along the way.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• TB test and physical
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with physical supports
• Access to personal vehicle may be required

Job description

The Arc of Centre County is hiring a FT Direct Support Professional to join our Home & Community Supports (HCS) team. HCS provides services to adults with IDD in the general areas of communication, health maintenance, money management, relationship development, meal preparation, and the use of community resources.

Job Title

Home and Community Supports (HCS) Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pay: $18/hour + Shift Differentials + $1,200 Sign-on Bonus

Location: State College and/or Bellefonte, PA

Schedule: Full-Time, Weekday Availability Preferred

No Experience Needed (all training is paid!)

Get paid to help people with disabilities live more independently. You'll help with daily routines, community outings, transportation, and building real relationships. Although agency vehicles are available, this role may require access to a personal vehicle for transportation needs.

Schedule & Pay

• Starting pay: $18/hour
• $1,200 sign-on/stay-on bonus
• Additional $1/hour shift differentials for late nights, weekends, and holidays (differentials can stack!)
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts and overtime (time-and-a-half)

Required Qualifications

• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, human services, or healthcare
