Job summary

Friendship Health and Rehab South in Roanoke, VA is hiring a full-time Dietary Aide to provide food service to residents, guests, and staff under sanitary conditions. Responsibilities include meal prep, serving, and ensuring on-time deliveries per diet orders.

The role requires standing and physical activity; there is a shift from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with every other weekend involved. Healthcare facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Position is very active; requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching all day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents, guests and staff per dietary policies.
• Safely use kitchen equipment for food preparation, service and cleaning.
• Ensure meals are delivered on time and comply with diet orders (e.g., puree diets).
• Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized; label food for proper storage.
