Job summary

Friendship in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Part-Time Dining Associate to provide residents with meals under sanitary conditions and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. You will assist with serving meals, prepare beverages, help with delivery of items, and maintain clean dining and back-of-house areas.

The role is active, requires standing and lifting, and works mornings and evenings with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience preferred.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepares beverages for residents.
• Assist with delivery of food items to residents when needed.
• Clean and sanitize all areas in dining room and back-of-house areas.
• Occasionally operates as dishwasher.
• Safely operates kitchen equipment for food preparation, service and cleaning.
• Serves meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner based on menu items.
• Abide by facility policies and food safety regulations.
• Serve meals according to diet lists and individual requirements.
