Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan seeks a skilled sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment for general diagnostic scans in a hospital setting. You will verify image quality, adhere to PACS protocols, and participate in training of students and staff.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT credentials, an accredited education, and current BLS CPR. Strong communication and patient-centered care are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited sonography program.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) credential (e.g. RDMS AB or RVT/CCI-RVS) and hospital sonography experience.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to produce general diagnostic scans with quality and safety in mind.
• May participate in complex or invasive procedures to meet credential requirements.
• Evaluates images for quality, adheres to imaging protocols, and documents in PACS.
• Maintains room and equipment; labels, stores data, and completes EHR entries accurately.
• Assists in training of sonography students and supports staff development.
• Communicates findings clearly to physicians and other team members.
