Summary
The Deposit Operations Representative I is an entry level position, who supports the deposit operations team in handling various tasks related to deposit accounts. They ensure accurate and efficient processing of deposits, withdrawals and other transactions while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and confidentiality.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Processes and posts transactions from all branches, including electronic transfers and mobile deposits.
- Verifies and reconciles deposit accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
- Utilizes banking software and technology platforms to access customer information and handle and resolve discrepancies, sometimes with assistance.
- Assists internal and external customers with inquiries, concerns and requests, including password resets for online banking and the mobile app.
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints or escalates them to the appropriate manager or department.
- Updates customer account information, including contact details, beneficiaries, and account status.
- Processes and verifies account maintenance requests, such as name changes, address updates and account ownership changes.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation for all transactions and customer interactions.
- Collaborates with branch personnel and compliance to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Participates in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on banking products, services and regulations.
- Participates in and promotes teamwork with the department as well as bank-wide.
- Completes annual required training within communicated timeframes.
- Performs other duties as required or requested.
Pay is commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in banking, customer service or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and regulatory requirements.
