L R Smiles of Marietta LLC in Marietta, GA is seeking a passionate Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused team. You will work chairside with dentists, assist with a range of procedures, and help educate patients on oral care.

We value a calm, welcoming environment and teamwork. Requirements include prior dental assisting experience, a certification/credential, radiology certification or willingness to obtain, and familiarity with dental software.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and chairside assisting techniques.
• Dental Assistant certification or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential a plus
• Radiology certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Open Dental) a plus not required
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work full time in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures including fillings, extractions, crowns, scanning, and implants.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient medical histories and treatment notes in dental software.
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Provide a welcoming, calm experience for patients throughout their visit
