Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is hiring a full-time SWDS Driver to deliver products from Sherwin-Williams stores in Clive, IA. You will load and transport customer orders, maintain the delivery vehicle, and provide excellent service while following routes and schedules.

Qualified candidates must be 21+, legally eligible to work in the US, and hold a valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally is required; evening and weekend availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a "meets expectations" rating on the latest performance appraisal.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from customers.
• Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Adhere to transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing orders.
