Job summary

A1 Shipping LLC, a locally owned Amazon DSP serving the Virginia Beach area, is hiring full-time Delivery Drivers in Hampton. Start at $21.00 per hour with medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid training at $21.00 per hour, immediate PTO, and a 401K match after 3 months.

Overtime is available at $31.50 per hour with opportunities for advancement. Shifts run roughly 10am–8pm, four days per week, with one weekend day required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Clean driving record and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Be able to read and speak English for safety reasons.
• Willingness to be flexible as routes can vary.
• Schedule roughly 10am–8pm and may vary by route.

Responsibilities

• Load vans and deliver packages by driving, climbing in and out of the vehicle, and walking in various conditions.
• Deliver packages safely and on time.
• Follow strict safety standards on and off the road.
• Operate an electronic GPS device for daily records.

Job Description

• Start at $21.00 per hour!

Delivery Driver Associate Responsibilities:

• Shifts are approximately 10am-8pm.
• You can expect to work 4 days per week and 8- 10 hours per day. (1 weekend day per work week is required)
• Load vans and deliver packages by driving, climbing in and out of the vehicle, and walking upstairs and through driveways in all weather conditions, and deliver packages safely and on time.
• Follow strict safety standards on and off the road.
• Operate an electronic device for GPS and daily records.
• Have a positive can-do attitude and focus on customer service.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

We provide on-the-job training (at no cost to you) so that all of our employees are prepared and feel confident on the road and the doorsteps of customers. Health and safety are always a top priority for Amazon and the Delivery Service Partners Amazon contracts with.

• Authorized to Work in the United States
• Have a valid driver's license (a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required)
• Have a clean driving record and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Be able to operate and navigate a delivery van, weighing 10,000 lbs. or less (you do not need to provide your own vehicle)
• Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Be able to read and speak English for safety reasons.
• You must have a willingness to be Flexible as routes can vary along with traffic delays, weather conditions, construction, etc.
• While your schedule will be approximately 10am-8pm, it can vary slightly depending on the route for the day.
