Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is seeking a Full-Time Deli Associate for our Bloomfield Hills location. You will slice, weigh, package and label deli meats and cheeses, assist customers, and ensure a high standard of service.

Responsibilities include operating slicers, maintaining product quality and store standards, and assisting in other departments as needed. Weekend availability and reliability are required; benefits include comprehensive health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be able to use knives, box cutters, slicers, etc. (18+).
• Ability to count, separate and weigh deli products.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hour periods.

Responsibilities

• Slice, weigh, package and label deli meats and cheeses per customer request.
• Assist customers with orders and questions about products in the deli; provide samples as needed.
• Greet customers and offer prompt, courteous service.
• Operate slicers and all authorized equipment safely.
• Maintain neat appearance and observe grooming standards.
• Know store layout to help customers locate products.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies as outlined in handbook.
