Job summary

Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift in our Medical-Surgical unit. This full-time position offers a 12-hour shift schedule and a supportive, patient-centered care environment.

The RN will assess, plan, and implement care, collaborate with physicians and the care team, administer medications, and educate patients and families while maintaining safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Solid knowledge of nursing processes and patient documentation.
• Ability to participate in performance improvement and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and unit protocols.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and communicates changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and ensures patient safety.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the medical record.
